What TapTap Golf does (Application purpose)

TapTap Golf is a mobile app for golfers who want to record 18-hole round scores (strokes, par, putts), review past rounds, and keep scores in sync between an Android phone and a Wear OS watch. Users sign in on Android so their round history and trial or purchase status can be backed up to the cloud.

Why Google Sign-In is required: On Android, TapTap Golf uses Google Sign-In only to verify the user's identity with Firebase Authentication and to link cloud data (golf rounds and entitlement state) to the correct account. Google Sign-In is not used for advertising or to access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Contacts.

Application functionality

TapTap Golf provides the following features to users:

Start and track a golf round on Android or Wear OS
Enter and edit per-hole score, par, and putt values on a scorecard
Save round history locally and in the user's cloud account
Sync rounds and trial or purchase entitlement state across devices
Offer a free trial and optional in-app purchases (mobile, watch, or full edition)

This page is publicly accessible and does not require sign-in. The TapTap Golf mobile app is not a login-only application; users can record and manage golf scores after signing in.

How TapTap Golf uses Google user data

TapTap Golf requests the minimum OAuth scopes needed for sign-in: openid, email, and basic profile. Data is used only as follows:

Email address — identify the user account for cloud backup and trial state
Basic profile (if provided by Google) — optional display context for the signed-in account
OpenID — secure sign-in with Firebase Authentication

We do not use Google user data for advertising, selling to third parties, or credit eligibility. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Contacts, or other Google APIs.

Google user data is stored and processed through Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). TapTap Golf's use of Google user data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
